Quick Facts

DOLINA red clover is a result of our breeding program in the Czech Republic. It is well suited to mixtures with grass for silage or hay production. However, Dolina can also be broadcast on pastures in the fall or winter to add to the dry matter production and forage quality of grazed pastures. Red clover is easier to establish than alfalfa, and it is more digestible. It makes excellent silage and is a short lived perennial (2-3 years). Tetraploid clovers exhibit larger leaves, higher sugars, more massive root systems, and in the case of Dolina, better persistence than more common diploid red clovers.
