Quick Facts
The forage peanut is a tropical legume that has application on the gulf coast region. Our variety is a seeded type, whereas most other varieties on the market must be vegetatively propagated. The forage peanut is useful for pastures, erosion control, roadside stabilization and beautification. It is very agressive and effectively crowds out weeds during its first year. It is widely adapted for the southern regions of the US and Europe, all of Latin America, Africa, Middle East, Near East, Southern Asia and Micro Asia.
