Quick Facts

CINDY LOU is a very dark green, fine leaf textured, aggressively rhizomatous variety of strong creeping red fescue. It exhibits an upright crown growth habit and remains distinctly green and aesthetically pleasing when under moderate drought stress. It has excellent seedling vigor and is best adapted to shady sites where low fertility and moderately hgh pH condiitons prevail. It is endophyte enhanced for added disease and pest resistance. CINDY LOU was entered in the 1998 Fine Fescue NTEP Test along with 78 fine fescues and 22 strong creeping red fescue varieties. Data from the 2000 NTEP Fine Fescue Progress Report conducted across 28 locations in the US and Canada indicates that CINDY LOU tied for 1st in turf quality among all fine fescue varieties.
