All*Star3 is an elite, new generation, heat and humidity tolerant, very dark green, fine textured variety. It is an improved version of Allstar2 which tied for best overall turf quality in the 1999 NTEP Perennial Ryegrass Progress Report 01-1 across 28 US and Canadian locations. It was ranked second for wear tolerance in the 2006-10 NTEP results for Schedule B Athletic Fields. It is an endophyte enhanced variety with high resistance to disease and pests. It is highly recommended for permanent turf applications in the Mid-Atlantic and US transition zone where heat and humidity may limit the adaptation of perennial ryegrass turf. It's also recommended for winter overseeding of dormant bermudagrass.
