NITRO is a new intermediate ryegrass designed specifically for the overseeding market in the Southern regions of the United States. It is an excellent choice for overseeding into St. Augustine grass, Bahiagrass, Zoysiagrass and the higher cuts of Bermudagrass. Intermediates are a genetic cross of annual ryegrass and perennial ryegrass. Intermediate ryegrass offers better performance than annual ryegrass (similar to perennial ryegrass). Noted for aggressive establishment, upright growth, medium texture and adaptability

Nitro can be used in blends with perennial ryegrass, fine fescue and poa trivialis. It thrives in medians and large landscape areas. It was designed to replace annual ryegrass in overseeding situations where improved color and texture are desired. Nitro exhibits a somewhat reduced growth rate for easier spring transitions.
