Quick Facts

SOLARA is an exceptional tall fescue variety. It combines rapid establishement and good winter quality with superior summer performance. The 2002-05 NTEP results show that Solara not only exhibited exceptional drought tolerance, it was among the top varieties for overall turf quality as well. Under both high or low maintenance, and even under traffic stress, Solara delivers premium turf.

Solara produces an attractive turf in both full sun and shaded areas. It is recommended for use on home lawns, sports fields, parks, golf course out-of-bounds areas and commercial sites. Solara can be used alone or in mixtures with Kentucky bluegrass or Zoysia japonica. Solara can be utilized in dry temperate climates such as southern CA and the hot humid regions of the Midwest and eastern USA.
