Warm Season Grasses

Warm season grasses are best adapted to areas where temperatures reach 80 F or higher. Their tolerance of cool weather is generally poor, and they may die in low winter temperatures. Most become dormant below 50 F. Newer varieties are moving into the transition area and have improvements in texture, color and temperature ranges.
